Looking for someone who understands you?

looking for someoneThat’s us. We have more than 25 years of experience of totally immersing ourselves in our client’s business. Knowing our clients’ brands, products and services from top to bottom, inside and out, helps us translate their needs and wants into clear concepts.

Let us show you how quickly we can get to know you. Give us a project. We’ll jump right in, learning all about you. Before you know it, we’ll be speaking your language. And that will help us provide ideas and solutions that go beyond the ordinary.

TCG Design has been working with Armstrong for many, many years. We know their products as if they were our own. Not only can we speak their language in English, we often complete their projects in Spanish and French, too!

“TCG Design works hard to know and be a part of our business products and branding.” — Lori Rowley, Marketing Manager, Residential Ceilings, Armstrong World Industries

Freshly redone website lures fishing fans

fish in pa websitePennsylvania is home to some of the best rivers and lakes for fishing – and to thousands of fishing enthusiasts. What’s more, fishing fans come to PA from all parts of the country to seek out the hot spots for trout, bass and other species, and enjoy beautiful Pennsylvania scenery. Luckily there’s a great website with a wealth of information to help guide them and we’ve had the chance to play a part in making it the best it can be.

The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission is a new client for us, since early 2018, when we began to handle advertising for their publications. Our latest project was to redesign the website that houses all things fishing in PA.

We designed a new logo, organized the various categories of information and made the site more user friendly and search engine friendly. Now, anyone from anywhere desiring to fish in PA can find everything they need in one easy-to-access location.

Happy to help!

power packs project websiteWe are used to turning on a dime with deadlines and responding immediately to client requests. It’s standard operating procedure around here. So when Power Packs Project approached us to create a new website and needed it completed for an event that was quickly approaching, we jumped right in with the help of our new digital hire, Bill Trovato.

Power Packs Project is a great organization that empowers families with education and ingredients to create nutritious weekend meals, so their children return to school fed and ready to learn. TCG is super excited to be involved. We were able to complete the website before the Power Packs event, and they were very pleased with the outcome. Please check out powerpacksproject.org here. Looking forward to many more projects with Power Packs.

Let us show you how quickly we can turn a project around. We’re up for the challenge. We think you’ll see that we go above and beyond for our clients.

And you can see more websites that we’ve designed here. Send us an email if you would like to talk about yours. We’d be happy to help.

LNP interviews our visual wizard Kim Smith

LNP interviews our visual wizard Kim Smith“You want to be an artist but you just don’t have time, right? Don’t tell that to Kim Smith. The owner of TCG Design for 27 years – and mother of three – wakes up every morning at 5:30 a.m., completes a small painting and posts it to Instagram while you’re hitting the snooze button for the third time.”

This is an excerpt from an article about our visual wizard, president and creative director, Kim Smith, in LNP Inside Sunday Magazine on Sunday morning. It’s all about her commitment to painting every morning before she heads to the office. We are so proud of her!

YWCA Lancaster Sexual Assault Counseling Campaign

YWCA Lancaster campaignOne of the most crucial needs for sexual assault victims is to be heard. For many, that’s when the healing begins. We are proud to have worked with the Lancaster YWCA on this campaign to raise awareness of their sexual assault counseling services. They offer compassionate, confidential, cost-free counseling throughout Lancaster County.

If you live in Lancaster you will be seeing this campaign on buses, convenience store posters and on facebook throughout the year.

Thank you for all that you do YWCA Lancaster!

Happy National Ampersand Day!

national ampersand dayOnce the last letter of the alphabet. A ligature of e & t (et in Latin means and).

Just for those who like to keep things grammatically correct, ampersands can be properly used to represent “and” in phrases and names, but not in the structure of a sentence as a substitute for the word “and.”

Bringing the cancer-fighting mission to life

cancer coalition videoSince 2014, we’ve worked with the PA Department of Health’s Division of Cancer Prevention and Control on a variety of projects. From this hard-working group of folks comes guidance and action plans that positively impact the lives of Pennsylvanians. Under their direction, The Pennsylvania Cancer Coalition brings together medical specialists, health data experts, patient advocates, cancer survivors and cancer organization representatives to plan and carry out activities that target the state’s most prevalent screenable cancers, the geographic areas hardest hit by these cancers, and the most vulnerable citizens.

That said, it can be difficult to translate the work of government agencies into language that resonates. That was the challenge we faced when asked to make a short video that describes the work the Coalition has planned for the next few years. We worked on this challenge with Lamphouse Films, a Lancaster-based production company just loaded with talent.

View the video and tell us how we did in meeting the challenge. Please comment below.

Check out other video and TV work in our portfolio. We truly shine at telling stories, delivering messages and creating excitement in visually captivating ways. And we work with budgets of all sizes. Give us a call and let’s talk about your next project.

Soles of Lancaster

local artists handprinted sneakers
From the first race 20 years ago and every year since, we’ve supported the Race Against Racism event sponsored by YWCA Lancaster. With its focus on eliminating racism and empowering women, this important event is near and dear to our hearts. This year, to mark the 20th anniversary of the race, the YWCA invited 20 local artists to transform a pair of Converse sneakers into art. And Kim Smith, our very own art director, was one of the local artists selected. It was a perfect project combining her love of painting and design with a great cause. All 20 sneakers will be on display at the YWCA Lancaster and also at the Race Against Racism on Saturday, April 28. If you are in the area come out and support the YWCA Lancaster!

This was fun!

technabotsWe recently were presented with a unique challenge—to create a logo for a team of high school girls competing in robotics. They already had the team name, Technabots, and a mascot of sorts, a gazelle. With that input, we got to work.

The gazelle is the school mascot for Philadelphia High School for Girls. We were told that it is often depicted in a leaping pose, but we went a different route, creating a front-facing view of a “mechanical” gazelle head. Incorporating gears and sprockets and servomechanisms, we came up with several options. The chosen design is shown here.

This is the first time we’ve created a logo using gazelles and gears. It was definitely a different kind of creative challenge—and a whole lot of fun!

And here are the options they had to choose from:
